Product Returns

7-day return window — returns must be initiated within 7 days of confirmed delivery.

We accept returns for unopened, unused products in their original packaging. To qualify:

  • The product must be in its original, sealed condition with all labels intact.
  • You must have proof of purchase (order number or email confirmation).
  • The return must be initiated within 7 calendar days of delivery confirmation.
  • Return shipping cost is the customer's responsibility unless the item is defective or incorrect.

Products that have been opened, tested, or used — even partially — cannot be returned for hygiene and safety reasons.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Opened or used hair products (oils, serums, conditioners, shampoos)
  • Sale or promotional items marked "Final Sale"
  • Downloadable content or digital products
  • Custom or personalised orders
  • Hair accessories that have been used or removed from packaging
  • Clothing items that have been worn, washed, or tags removed
  • Gift cards

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, please:

  1. Take clear photos of the product and packaging immediately upon receipt.
  2. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery via WhatsApp or email.
  3. We will arrange a free replacement or issue a full refund — your choice.

Claims made after 48 hours may not be accepted unless the defect is latent (not visible on delivery).

How to Initiate a Return

  1. Email hello@gycnaturals.com with subject line "Return – [Your Order Number]", or message us on WhatsApp.
  2. Include: your order number, item(s) to return, reason for return, and photos (for damaged items).
  3. We will confirm eligibility within 1–2 business days and provide return instructions.
  4. Pack the item securely and ship to the address provided.
  5. Once received and inspected, we will process your refund or exchange within 5 business days.

Refund Process & Timeline

  • Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method (Paystack card/bank transfer).
  • Processing time: 5–10 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item.
  • Bank processing time may add an additional 3–5 business days depending on your bank.
  • You will receive an email confirmation once the refund has been processed.
  • We do not issue cash refunds. Store credit may be offered as an alternative.

Salon Appointment Deposits

Appointment deposits are subject to our cancellation policy:

  • 48+ hours notice: Deposit transferred to a new appointment date (valid 90 days).
  • 24–48 hours notice: 50% of deposit applied to rescheduled appointment; 50% forfeited.
  • Less than 24 hours / No-show: Full deposit forfeited.
  • GYC Naturals cancels: Full deposit refunded or transferred — your choice.

Deposits are non-refundable to the original payment method except when GYC Naturals cancels the appointment.

Exchanges

We offer size or variant exchanges (e.g., clothing size) for unopened items within 7 days. Subject to stock availability. If the desired variant is out of stock, we will issue a refund or store credit. Contact us before returning to confirm availability.
